Attached garage fire in Jackson Twp. Liberty Fire with Chesterton fire got a quick knock on the fire limiting fire damage to just the garage and little smoke damage in the living area of the residence. No injuries. One dog was secured by firefighters upon their arrival until the owners returned.

As a firemen I love to watch other departments operate, and while this was a small fire I was impressed with the cohesive operations between the two responding agencies. They operated with a smooth, almost effortless motion that that a lot of larger company based departments cannot accomplish. My hats off to both agencies for a job well done.
